SETTING UP A PRACTICE STATION
2m
A Malaska Golf Member wants to know the correct procedure to set up a practice station with alignment sticks on the range. This is an excellent question because Mike sees few people set them up or do it correctly. Mike takes the first alignment stick, and the object is to find your target, or, in this case, the blue flag. He lays the stick down and aims straight at his target. Mike places the second stick parallel and straight over to the back end of the first stick. The third stick Mike places about 3 feet in front of and in line with the first stick. He angles it into the ground towards him. If Mike hits the alignment stick, it will deflect onto the range. All Mike needs to do is tee the ball up behind the first alignment stick, and his practice station is complete. Now you're ready to go!
