L TO L AND BALL CONTROL
3m

A Malaska Golf Member wants to know if you are still doing the L to L if you want to curve the ball. The answer is yes.

Mike starts with the L to L, and when he swings, he makes tiny adjustments to the clubface so he can curve the ball. You are still making the L to L when you swing. You could call out different shots for Mike to make when he is at the top of his swing, and he can adjust the clubface on the downswing to make those shots. Those little adjustments with the clubface can make the ball curve one way or another.

Tour Players are so good with their hands, which is another reason Mike is a big proponent of playing the game with your hands.

When others in the golf industry say take your hands out of the game, Mike thinks it is insanity! You must train your hands to control the clubface. The hands hold the club, so they control the clubface and the club. Your hips do not control the face.

The better you get at controlling the face with your hands and using the lever system, the better player you will be when you add your body to it.
